Life is hard.
The cost of living is high.
People are poor and jobless and some that do have jobs are pretty much living from paycheck to paycheck, having way too much month at the end of their money.
Sustaining one healthy adult is a challenge all on its own, with a basic salary – so I can only imagine what it must be like raising a whole family off that same salary.
Belts are being tightened & the idea of leisure activity is being pushed aside because there’s no time & very little money to spend on the things you like.
Even books.
I read articles about how book stores are going out of business in favour of digital publication & even more about how people just don’t read anymore.
Is it time? Do the books cost too much? Is reading for fun just no longer a thing?

And then I think about the dreams I have of being a thriving, successful, published author – hanging up the nursing bars & living off the financial profit of my written works.
But that doesn’t seem possible.
Not here and not now.
And maybe not yet.

I’m just glad to be able to share it all.
I’m glad that someone even reads any of it.
I’m glad that I CAN share it AT ALL.
So thank you, Dear Reader.
